No, this will not be a blog on buying certain products for your hair .
This is a personal step by step tip (from someone who has very long natural hair) to do personally on your time .
Biggest tips i can give -
DO NOT wash your hair everyday
*Personally i wash my hair twice a week*
Your hair gets greasy, OBVIOUSLY ! but for the same reasons our faces get oily .
Your skin produces an oily substance called Sebum.
Sebum is what moistens hair and produces its own Natural oils .
Washing it too often can harm your hair, because you are washing and getting rid of the natural oils and it also dries out your scalp. Also for the ladies that color/dye their hair (like i do) Washing your hair too often EVENTUALLY will wash out the toner, and produce color fading .
Worse of all, it WILL cause more split ends :(
Whether your hair is wet or not ; Braiding your hair at night before going to bed also helps it grow. Hair that has been braided is less likely to fracture when tossing and turning in bed, and is combed or brushed less often, which can reduce hair breakage due to grooming and detangling.
Applying conditioner or oil also before swimming beach or pool ;The theory here is that oil and water don't mix so doing this will ensure that the oil acts as a barrier between the chlorine and your hair.
Conditioner before Shampoo..
It sounds strange, but to do this technique properly your shampoo should be washing the conditioner out of your hair. This gets your hair clean without drying it out. If you rinse the conditioner out before shampooing, you'll still benefit from reverse washing, just not as much.
